HELLO 2016! LET’S START WITH WORDPRESS
My first blog post in the New Year! And then also on WordPress. The contribution comes later than originally planned, because I wanted to wait until my move from Blogger to WordPress accomplished. An increasing number of obstacles had to be overcome. Started it gives you that certain plug-ins for data import no longer worked to unexpected restrictions of my hosting contract. While others move in an afternoon, it took me almost two weeks with interruptions.
Moving from Blogger to Wordpress and outlook for 2016
So here it is: the first post in 2016. The first contribution by WordPress. Yet everything is new and unfamiliar, but I hope I'm getting used to the new interface quickly and can make the final adjustments soon. Menu categories, no more broken links (thanks to the plugin Broken Link Checker now easy to find) ... there is still some way to go. See me so after if not all appear perfect. I did not want to wait any longer to even the template is fully developed, so that I can publish posts again. During the time of the move, it would be impractical to publish new posts have been something that I again would subsequently have to import. I accounted for the remaining amendments under cosmetic corrections. The technical foundation is now but still and the move is over.
For almost 5 years I blogged at Blogger. I have long planned to move to self-hosted WordPress blog. Even though I was very pleased with Blogger most of the time, so there were some crucial points, which ultimately made me dare to move. About the move from Blogger to Wordpress I'll soon report in more detail. My experiences, what obstacles had to be overcome and how my first experience with WordPress are.
Even a blog retrospective for the year 2015 I have planned and temporally now have to push a little backwards. The past year was very eventful for me and also has privately with the birth of my daughter a new period of life started.
I hope you are looking forward to the new year with the blog as much as I do. The plan I have much and hope you continue to look back often. This week there will be a new Beauty Talk and even the Top 3 Blog Paradewill start again soon. By 2016, I have also a revival of the Monday issue made, but then in a slimmed-down version. The Mama Monday will continue to take place and maybe I can do it tonight already publish a new post.
